Services
Five kinds of help, each covering one stretch of the research process. Use one on its own, or combine them so the same person carries the question from design to the written result.

Core services
Each page explains the work, the process and what you receive.
-

Research design and methodology
For studies that have not started yet. We help you turn a question into specific aims, choose a design that can answer it, make sampling and power decisions you can defend, and write a protocol your team can follow.
- Aims and hypotheses
- Sampling and power
- Measurement and protocols
- Preregistration
-

Grant writing and funding strategy
For proposals to federal, foundation and industry funders. We help you choose where to apply, shape the aims, write or strengthen the narrative, and read the result as a reviewer would.
- Finding fit
- Aims pages and narratives
- Mock review
- Resubmission strategy
-

Data analysis and statistical support
For data you have or will soon have. We write analysis plans, clean data with scripts rather than by hand, choose methods that fit, and explain the results in words your audience will follow.
- Analysis plans
- Reproducible workflows
- Figures and tables
- Plain-language results
-

Evidence synthesis and literature reviews
For questions where the answer already exists, scattered across many papers. We plan and run scoping and systematic reviews and summarize what the evidence supports for the people who must act on it.
- Search strategy
- Screening and extraction
- Evidence tables
- Decision summaries
-

Scientific writing and editing
For manuscripts, reports, white papers and summaries. We start with structure, then work down to sentences, and help you answer reviewers point by point.
- Manuscripts and reports
- Structural and line editing
- Plain-language summaries
- Reviewer responses
Where research meets technology
Research and AI
Help using AI where it saves real time without weakening the science: validated review workflows, AI-use policies for labs, pilot evaluations measured against human-checked samples, and privacy review before data goes near a tool.
Technology for research teams
Practical advice on the technology around research: project websites, data collection tools, analysis pipelines, security and backup basics. It starts with a short written assessment; building is optional.
Three ways to work together
- Project
- A defined piece of work with a written scope, deliverables and milestones, suited to work with a clear start and end.
- Retainer
- Ongoing access for a lab, group or organization with a steady flow of design, analysis or writing work, so help is available without restarting from zero each time.
- Hourly review
- A focused, time-boxed read of something you have already drafted: a protocol, an analysis, an aims page, a manuscript. Written comments and a call to talk them through.
Have a question worth getting right?
